Free Press Journal on the Joint Venture Behind Affinisio Technologies

  • SHARE

In August 2021, the Free Press Journal reported that Acies and Jackstien International LLP had formed a joint venture to build technology for the banking, financial services and insurance sector. That joint venture is today Affinisio Technologies LLP.

The coverage set out what the venture was for: technology platforms that improve operational management and control, decision-making, regulatory compliance, market risk management, customer experience and the cost of operations, designed by people who have worked in the industry and built to go beyond international best practice.

Nishant Shah, a financial services veteran, was named to lead the venture. He argued that many systems in the industry lock their users in, and set a different aim: to give control back to users and to build for longevity, flexibility and quality. The solutions he described would combine controls with innovation, adapt to future change, support governance in regulated entities and reduce the cost of control and compliance. Muzammil Patel, the Global Head of Strategy and Corporate Finance at Acies, described the venture as bringing Jackstien’s international experience together with modern technology to deliver cost-effective and lasting transformation in financial services.

Those aims now run through Affinisio’s integrated compliance suite, built on its in-house No-Code Compliance Platform and used by SEBI intermediaries, listed entities, mutual funds and AMCs in India and by regulated firms in the UAE.
